Fungerende CEO Stig Eide Sivertsen blir erstattet av Vermeijden i starten av 2016.
Styret har utnevnt 42-årige Christiaan A. Vermeijden til administrerende direktør. Nederlenderen kommer fra stillingen som geoteknisk direktør i Fugro, et selskap EMGS har samarbeidet med i flere år. Ansettelsen kommer etter at Bjarte Bruheim trakk seg på dagen 24. august i år.
Styreleder i EMGS, Eystein Eriksrud sier: «We are very pleased with the appointment of Christiaan, and we are confident that he will be the right person to develop EMGS going forward. The company is now in a better position to face the challenging market, with a sustainable cost base, a stronger balance sheet and a restructured management team. At the same time we are grateful to Stig Eide Sivertsen who took on the CEO role in a difficult time for the company, and secured agreement from the stakeholders to the restructuring plan as well as the implementation of the necessary cost reductions.»
