Under the contract, First Geo – part of Oslo-listed Akastor ASA – will provide personnel within the technical areas such as Subsurface specialists, Geologists, and Geophysicists, Wellsite and Operations Geologists, Drilling and Completion Engineers.
“Providing specialist subsurface, drilling and well engineering services we contribute towards keeping oil companies’ investments and cost down. With consultants that are local at Det norske’s offices around Norway, this is a business model that is particularly attractive in a costs conscious environment.” says Managing Director of First Geo, Helge H. Nyrønning.
During its 20 year history First Geo has developed a large consultancy capacity, and is today one of the most important subsurface consultancy companies in Norway. With the latest addition of complete Well Management services First Geo is a unique capacity to support E&P companies developing exploration portfolios and development of producing assets.
First Geo’s contract with Det norske runs until 2020, with 2 + 2 years optional periods. The contract value is undisclosed.
