During the forthcoming half-day seminar in the series Hydrocaarbon Habitats (February 26), focus is on novel ideas relevant to finding additional hydrocarbons.
Søkerlisten er redusert med 10 selskaper i den 23. konsesjonsrunden, og flere av "supermajors" har sviktet.

The February seminar naturally has a focus on the Loppa Ridge, the Hoop area and the Barents Sea southeast. The seminar also brings in recent developments in exploration technology, such as broadband seismic, high resolution seismic, CSEM and IP.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy did in January announce the 23 rd licensing round. Altogehter 54 out of 57 blocks are in the Barents Sea. According to Sissel Eriksen, exploration director in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, the interest in exploration in the Barents Sea has increased significantly following the exciting discoveries Wisting, Gotha and Alta. The present seminar deals with pursuing new exploration ideas based on a huge data base available to the oil companies.

Do not miss this opportunity to meet colleagues and get inspiration for further work with the 23rd round blocks!
