The program at the Recent Discoveries & NCS Prospect Fair has been announced, and we are proud to present you with a packed program with interesting talks - AND "extra curricular" activities!

On Wednesday afternoon, Morten Bergan (Bayerngas) and Hans Arne Nakrem (University of Oslo) are inviting the delegates of the conference on a field trip at Fornebu, where we will be introduced to Lower Paleozoic sedimentary rocks of the Oslo Graben! For those of us more inclined to enjoy a drink in the bar – students from the University of Oslo are hosting a GEO-quiz where you can test your geoscienence knowledge. In the evening, we invite everyone to join us in the bar for beers and drinks before dinner. We have of course also thought about entertainment – so we promise you that you will not be bored! During the dinner, the winner of the prestigious «Young Petroleum Geoscientist Award» will be announced, and YOU can vote for your favorite candidate here: www.geonova.no

For the morning persons, bird watching is scheduled for 6am on Thursday, also hosted by Morten Bergan, and for those who would like to start the day with a brisk run, Hans Oddvar Augedal (Lundin) will take you on a morning run, including a voluntary swim in the Oslo Fjord afterwards. The formal program on Thursday commences at 9am. Welcome!
