DIGEX is the conference on digitalization for the geoscience community and surrounding industries. At the conference, we look at how digital technology is enabling the oil & gas industry to change the way geoscientists work, across teams, companies and license partners.

Submit your abstract for the conference now – the deadline is February 4th.

New digital tools and applications can be an effort multiplier in our quest to find and develop oil & gas prospects in order to meet the energy demands of tomorrow, yet we are witnessing significant hesitancy in embracing these opportunities in the geoscience community.

At the fourth edition of DIGEX in 2022, we are addressing these challenges and try to bridge the gap between the geoscience community and «digitalisation community» by «demystifying» digitalisation, breaking down language barriers and laying a foundation for trust in how these technologies (AI/ML, advanced analytics) process data.

At the conference, we look at concrete examples of how companies are embracing the possibilities in digitalization and how they are changing their workflows and approaches to the entire value chain from a subsurface perspective.

Yet, our industry is facing technical, cultural, political, and practical challenges in turning «digitalization hype» into tangible and valuable improvement in the way we work. Are new “technical silos” emerging in our industry due to digitalisation? What will it take from the industry to avoid silos going forward?

We are also curious about how your organization is addressing motivation, experiences, and lessons learned in developing, implementing, and integrating new digital methods and tools in exploration.

Submit your abstracts covering concrete examples from end users (oil companies) on successful & unsuccessful projects. What works?  What did not work? And why?

DIGEX 2022 is a hybrid conference (virtual and physical) and will be held in Stavanger on April 6th and 7th.
