Lundin Norway is partner in PL 859 in the Barents Sea southeast area. The prospect they have named Møysalen may contain several billion barrels of recoverable oil. It does in fact have the potential to be the largest field ever found on the NCS.
For detalils, see GEO 05 to be published early September.
Lundin has several spectaular finds to report, including Luno (Edvard Grieg), Johan Sverdrup, Gohta and Alta, and this fall the wellbore will enter the Permian/Carboniferous succession in the prospect Neiden.
Lundin has indeed an interesting story to tell. In November, exploration director Halvor Jahre will give a key note on NCS Prospects – The Exploration Strategy Conference – entitled «Lundins’ Exploration Strategy – Continued«.
