Several recent discoveries have been made using high-end technology to de-risk the prospects. We take a close look at some of these (incl. Wisting and Pil & Bue) in tomorrow’s half-day seminar in Oslo.

Tor Veggeland of Tullow Oil will tell the story behind the discovery of Wisting in which CSEM was instrumental in defining a drillable prospect. Founder and Technical Director Svein Ellingsrud of EMGS, brought directly from Houston, will give inspirational food for thoughts concerning the use of CSEM in exploration.

Another highlight is the story behind the Pil and Bue disvoeries this year. Rumors say that technology was vital in defining the prospects. The offshore Mid-Norway finds may turn out to be another successfull case in which technology drives exploration.

    Tuesday October 21.

The half-day seminar in the series Hydrocarbon Habitats is divided into 3 sessions: proven technologies, CSEM and emerging technologies.

The seminar starts at 11.00 A.M. and continues until 5.00 P.M. Afterwards we meet for a beer and a snack at Sosialen.
