«The approval of the detailed regulation plan is an important milestone for the development of the Engebø project and leaves the regulation plan for water supply as the only outstanding approval required to commence construction. A final resolution on water supply is expected in the near future.»

I februar i år søkte selskapetom driftskonsesjon («operating license»). Høringsfristen er i midten av september, og selskapet forventer at søknaden skal være ferdig behandlet innen februar neste år. Samtidig har Nordic Mining gjort ytterligere studier som antyder at malmressursen er større og dagbruddsdriften kan vare i fem ekstra år i forhold til hva som ble indikert i prefeasibility-studien.
