– Exploration is about sharing data.
– Exploration is about sharing knowledge.
This is why we will gather at the Recent Discoveries Conference this week:
– To learn from the past
– To learn from our mistakes, and
– To learn from what we did right
According to Maren Bjørheim at NPD, continued high exploration activity is needed in order for the undiscovered resources to contribute toward maintaining production and creating values for the industry and society. Maren Bjørheim will elaborate on this on Thursday this week.
Since 2011, only 40% of predrill estimates have been discovered. The return on exploration investments has therefore been reduced significantly, says Nils-Henrik Bjurstrøm at Rystad Energy, who will give his talk in the same session as Maren, on Thursday.
Create values for the industry as well as the society in a long-term perspective. So join us in two days time for this years G&G event: NCS Exploration – Recent Discoveries 2016, where we try to figure out how to improve and how to make the next big discovery on the NCS.
