The international conference Deep Sea Minerals will be arranged for the 2nd time this fall (October 26-27, in Bergen, Norway).

The first conference in 2021 was attended by almost 200 experts and proved to be an excellent learning and networking event for both industry professionals and researchers.

Based on the programme committee’s efforts this year, in combination with significant technological developments, there is good reason to believe that another well-attended conference lies ahead of us.

We hereby invite companies, institutions and post-graduate students developing new methods and technology or showing outstanding results in deep sea minerals research, to submit an abstract that will be evaluated for either oral presentation or poster.

All poster presenters will get a dedicated session during the breaks to present their work.

We invite contributions within the following topics:

    • Environmental monitoring; strategies, challenges, and technologies
    • Exploration strategy; methodology and technologies
    • Production concepts and technologies
    • The value chain/Mineral processing
    • Short and long-term societal challenges

The committee is particularly interested in receiving contributions concerning technological developments that are relevant to exploration and environmental monitoring. The committee encourages postgraduate students to submit their work.

Please send an abstract with up to 500 words to conferences@geonova.no within July 1. Illustrations are welcome.

Visit deepseaminerals.net to learn more about the call for papers and submit your abstract.
