Til dette svarer Jonny Hesthammer, adm. direktør i Atlantic Petroleum Norge og professor ved Universitetet i Bergen, følgende: «With respect to your main question on whether or not it is possible to start screening with EM and move on to proper G&G evaluation, the answer is a careful yes.»

«An observed EM anomaly means that something resistive is there, and it could be hydrocarbons (proper G&G evaluation needed to further derisk). The danger is that small prospects (close to existing larger ones) and deep hydrocarbon accumulations are not detected», he continues.
