«OKEA has today, 1 November, started drilling of the reservoir section of the Skumnisse appraisal well 6407/9-12 after completion of the Infill Ø well (6407/9-11). Well logs from the drilling operation are again being live-streamed on the www.okea.no website.

With reference to the well schematic published on 18 October, this 8 ½” hole section will be drilled down to a depth near the top of the prognosed Rogn Formation reservoir, before a coring operation through the reservoir is carried out. During the coring operation, no well log data is acquired and therefore no new log data will be visible on the live data-stream. On completion of the coring operation (expected to take 1-2 days), well logs will then be acquired through the cored interval and the well will be drilled further into the Garn Formation to approximately 1775m TVD.»
