    GCE Ocean Technology arrangerer studentkonkurranse

    GCE Ocean Technology has encouraged students to participate in a competion for the best concepts for enabling sustainable deep sea minerals exploration and utilisation.

    «We are very pleased to announce an international programme with world leading experts for this year’s Deep Sea Minerals conference to be held in Bergen 26-27 October,» skriver GCE Ocean Technology på sin nettside.

    GCE Ocean Technology has invited students at BSc/MSc level to join their Deep Sea Minerals Innovation Challenge.

    The best concepts enabling sustainable deep sea minerals exploration and utilisation, will be awarded with 10 000,- NOK, free entrance and presentation at the Deep Sea Minerals conference. Free entrance to the conference will also be awarded to ten of the students involved in the best proposals.

    Topics of interest

    We are looking for technological concepts and solutions targeting one or more of the following key aspects related to marine minerals:

    • – Environmental monitoring
    • – Exploration technologies for mineral identification and resource estimation
    • – Production concepts and technologies
    • – Mineral processing and value chain possibilities
